“We are a business consultancy that focuses on inventory systems and cloud based solutions for managing product workflow.”
What drove you to start your business/get involved in this industry?
After spending a decade as an employee at Beyond Expectations Ltd, Sharon seized the opportunity to become a co-owner when her boss decided to step down. “It's a perfect fit as we know the business really well and it's an exciting opportunity to be a business owner.”
What do you love about running your business?
She relishes the professional challenge of deepening expertise in a specialised industry sector.
What have been some of your biggest challenges?
The primary obstacles involve scaling the organisation while maintaining staff levels and securing consistent workflow.
What is your biggest ambition?
“To be the best at what I do and to be recommended because there's nobody else better at what we do.”
What does success look like to you?
“Happy employees that are thriving in their roles. Happy customers that keep recommending us to others. To have really solid systems that do a great job of saving customers lots of time.”
If you had to walk away from the company tomorrow, what would you be most proud of?
“The relationships I've formed and the support we've provided to our customers.”
Who inspires you and why?
Her former boss Peter served as a mentor, fostering her growth and demonstrating success within the male-dominated industry.
What growth have you experienced being in NZ Businesswomen?
She gained confidence witnessing other female leaders excel in her field.
What's your favourite pastime when you are not working?
Sharon pursues creative activities including art and cryptic crosswords, outdoor adventures with dogs and e-bikes, and time with loved ones.
