About
NZ Spirit Guide was created to showcase New Zealand’s incredible craft spirits industry and make it easier for people to find the distilleries, spirits and stories behind them. It is a growing nationwide database bringing New Zealand distilleries and their products together in one place, while encouraging consumers to support local and buy directly from the makers. The business has grown beyond the online guide to include Tales from the Top Shelf, my radio show and podcast sharing the stories of New Zealand distillers, and NZ Distillery Tours, taking people beyond the bottle to visit working distilleries, meet the makers and experience the industry firsthand. Everything I do is about connecting people with the people, places and stories behind New Zealand spirits.

NZ Spirit Guide: New Zealand distillery and spirits directory, spirit reviews, distillery profiles, industry stories and information on where to buy New Zealand-made gin, whisky, rum, vodka, liqueurs and other spirits. NZ Distillery Tours: Premium guided distillery tours and experiences, including shared tours, private groups, corporate events, client entertainment and bespoke distillery experiences. Tales from the Top Shelf: Radio show and podcast featuring interviews with New Zealand distillers, makers and people from across the spirits industry.
Why I am a member
I’m a member of New Zealand Businesswomen because I genuinely believe in the power of connection, support, and learning from other women in business. Running NZ Spirit Guide and growing Tales from the Top Shelf can be a bit of a solo journey at times, so being part of a network of like-minded women who are all building, creating, and navigating their own paths is incredibly valuable. I love being in a space where ideas are shared openly, wins are celebrated, and challenges are understood without needing much explanation. It’s not just about networking, it’s about real conversations, encouragement, and having people around you who genuinely want to see you succeed. For me, NZBW is about community, inspiration, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.

My latest business news is the continued growth of NZ Spirit Guide as New Zealand’s only dedicated platform bringing together a comprehensive database of local distilleries and their spirits in one place. I am focused on expanding the number of distilleries listed, building out reviews, and creating a true go-to hub for discovering and supporting New Zealand-made spirits. Alongside this, Tales from the Top Shelf continues to grow as a radio show and podcast, with more distillers sharing their stories and giving listeners a deeper connection to the people behind the products. I am also developing new ways for consumers to engage with the industry, including reviews, awards, and future experiences, all centred around making it easier to support local and explore what is being crafted right here in Aotearoa.
