Kate Tiriaere, Tooth Works

Business overview

Tooth Works is a modern dental practice in Invercargill, focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Our focus is on making dentistry accessible, professional, and straightforward, with an emphasis on genuine treatment in a friendly environment. Beyond clinical care, we’re committed to supporting our community through local sponsorships, donations, and initiatives like our Community Day, which provides essential services to those who need them most.

Products and services I offer

Tooth Works offers a full range of general and preventive dental services, including check-ups, hygiene care, fillings, crowns, and emergency treatment. We also provide cosmetic options such as whitening and restorative solutions tailored to individual needs. We have visiting specialists to help us provide an even larger range of services.

Why I'm in the NZ Businesswomen

I joined the NZ Businesswoman group to connect with other women in business who share the challenges and rewards of leadership. My background is clinical, but stepping into business ownership in 2019 pushed me to grow in new ways—navigating change, building a strong team, and finding balance between professionalism and community impact. Being part of this network is a chance to learn from others, share experiences, and keep developing as both a business owner and leader.

My point of difference

Our point of difference is that we combine high-quality dental care with a genuine commitment to people and community. We’re not just focused on teeth - we’re focused on supporting the whole person and making a positive difference in Southland.

My latest business news

We’re taking a new lease that will allow us to expand from a 6-surgery practice to 10. This growth means we can see more patients, provide more services, and continue building a strong, supportive team. It’s an exciting step forward as we continue to invest in our community and make quality dental care more accessible across Southland.
